The Boko Haram Narrative

Boko Haram officially known as Jama’atu Ahl As-Sunna Li-D’awati Wal Jihad is considered a deadly terrorist group in Nigeria. The narrative of the group which states that 'Western Education is forbidden' captures essential socio-cultural and religious practice and value system of the peoples of Northern Nigeria. The Nigerian government have not been able to counter this narrative which explains why Boko Haram continue to receive more recruits and remains a potent threat in Nigeria.
