The philosophical notion of transcendence

The notion of transcendence designates going beyond a given realm to another,or to the same realm differently, or perhaps even to nothing in a new fashion. It is a journey to that realm accessible only through pure insight. Transcendence begins with,the constant and unavoidable activity of the human consciousness trying to reach beyonditself, either in perception, thought or desire. The world, the day to day activities of mankind is a contested ground for its actualization. Hence, the notion of transcendence isa tremendous source of creativity which leads to transformation and development. Thehighpoint of this discussion shows that the simple notion or idea of transcendence, if adeuately utilized, has far reaching implications for creativity and societaltransformation which leads to the achievement of the millennium development goals.
